Pied A Terre in A Day

Sometimes when we're on the hunt we challenge each other to design a room using only the items in the store we're currently in. It's somehow freeing to stretch our thinking with constraints, and always fun to see what the other one comes up with. And while it's certainly easier to play online, you never know who's going to win if it's an online auction. Bids aside, here's a room we came up with together at Liveauctioneers. Vive la France!

Henri Manguin Portrait de Femme, 1923

Louis XVI style cream painted sette, late 19th c.

Tisca French handmade wool rug, Eliel Saarinen design

Antique French oak painted consoles, circa 1800

Nude study by James R. Hopkins, oil and canvas
