Inside Out: The Icy Greys of Hammershoi and New Hampshire

We love the cool simplicity of Vilhelm Hammershoi's paintings. Hammershoi established a detached intimacy with his subjects in a palate we'll refer to as northern. The greys, chilled browns, cypress reds and blue-toned whites are similar to what we find at our New Hampshire home this time of year.
